LFH acute care center in Grayslake is now open 24/7

BY JOHN ROSZKOWSKILake Forest Hospital's popular acute care center in Grayslake is now open around the clock and hospital officials hope in coming months to get state approval to upgrade the facility to a freestanding emergency center.
On March 1, the hospital announced that its Grayslake Outpatient and Acute Care Center began offering acute care services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The facility, located on state Route 120 west of U.S. Route 45, had previously been open 17 hours a day.

County Board outlaws parking in front yards

The Lake County Board has banned parking personal vehicles in front yards in unincorporated areas.
The new zoning regulation adopted Tuesday requires that personal vehicles in front of residences be parked on a pad or on driveways of gravel, pavement or otherwise improved with "hardscape."
